About the role
The role
You'll lead BIM work on allocated projects for one of the UK's major M&E contractors, producing coordinated models and drawings that feed design, installation and offsite manufacture. It's a chance to help shape a new team from the start.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and check the BIM team's work on your projects, within budget and programme
- Build and maintain coordinated MEP models and drawings from engineers' calculations and sketches
- Run coordination meetings using the 3D model to flag changes early
- Produce drawings from models for design, installation and manufacture, using offsite solutions where possible
- Coach the team on software, MEP systems and coordination, and visit site to learn from installation
What you'll bring
- Solid BIM experience with Revit and CAD
- MEP project experience
- Ideally, experience managing BIM technicians
- Strong communication, including walking clients with little BIM knowledge through a model
- A practical, solution-focused mindset
